WE ARE PREPARED FOR HOME-BASED LEARNING (VIRTUAL LEARNING)
Our approach to home-based learning (HBL) at Concordia Shanghai is similar to how we approach learning in the classroom, preserving our culture of learning wrapped in relationships. We continue to focus on the care of the whole child and the growth of our students as insightful learners, active global citizens and reflective spiritual beings.
Our continuous goal for home-based learning is to always be aware of where students are in their learning journey, which will allow teachers to deliver options for learning that fit the content and skills they want to teach in a productive way.
While very different than the in-classroom experience, home-based learning (when necessary) provides students the opportunity to better develop learner agility, to find purpose and take initiative, more so than they would if they were in the traditional classroom setting.
AMERICAN CURRICULUM AND EXPERIENCE
Concordia Shanghai International School follows an American curriculum that meets United States university entrance requirements. A broad base of subjects in all academic areas is required for graduation. The curriculum is adaptable, within limits, to meet the academic needs of individual students.
